This 13-piece filter set, gives you the most commonly used filters in viewing. KSON Filters are manufactured from crown optical glass and are anti-reflection coated on both sides. They are mounted in a machined aluminum cell that will thread into the barrel of any 1.25" eyepiece that has standard 1.25" filter threads. Use combination of filters to get different effects for the type of viewing you are doing.

This set contains the following filters as per Wratten numbers:

  • No. 8 Yellow - Absorbs blue light

  • No. 11 Yellowish-Green - colour correction

  • No. 12 Deep Yellow - minus blue filter

  • No. 21 Orange - contrast filter blue and blue green absorption

  • No. 23A Red

  • No. 25A Red Tricolour - colour separation

  • No. 38A Blue - Absorbs red, some UV and green light

  • No. 47 Blue Tricolour - Colour separation

  • No. 56 Light Green

  • No. 58 Green Tricolour

  • No. 80A Blue - colour Conversion

  • No. 82A Pale Blue Cooling Filter

  • No. ND96 Moon Filter - with 13% transmission, is a neutral density filter transmitting light uniformly across the entire visual spectrum. It serves as an excellent filter to reduce glare and irradiation when observing the Moon with any telescope with an aperture of 4" and larger. The ND96 filter may also be employed in the splitting of close double stars where one of the binary pair significantly exceeds the other in brightness.
